Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s annual core inflation rate inched up to 2.7% in October from 2.6% a month earlier, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Monday.
The monthly core inflation registered a positive 1.1% last month, compared to a negative 2.3% in September and a positive 1% in October 2018, the data showed.
On Saturday, the CAPMAS revealed that the North African country’s inflation rate declined to 2.4% in October, compared to 17.5% in the year-ago period.
